It was my 25th birthday on 25/04/08, my colleagues decided to bring me out for dinner and to have some drinks at West Coast Park. I knew they had something up their sleeves but didn't expect to get more than what I imagined. Izat claimed that he forgot something and all 3 guys left for the car park. As I guessed, they returned with a birthday cake. Izat then came with a box in his hand. Its a normal cardboard box, rectangular in shape. He handed it over to me. I read on the left, he drew the fragile sign and it states, this side should face you, open from the left. I thought Izat planned a

prank, something scary might pop out from the box. He assured me to open the box and so I did. Came out a glass container filled with candles hear shaped and with the words "I LOVE YOU". In my heart was like what a sweet gift. Just as I thought this, I realised there is a ring in between the V. That shocked me! I looked at Izat and asked him what's that doing there. He got on his knees and proposed! My closest collegues were all there to witness. Of course, I said yes.

In June Last year, my husband Kelvin bought the proposal ring and took me to Sentosa. He wanted it to be unexpected for me, so he made it look like it was like any other day... he came in his slippers and shorts and just a pouch.

After bringing me round and round the island, he brought me to the two towers on Palawan Beach. I remembered it was a Saturday evening, and there were a lot of people on the two towers. It was so hilarious, because he was so nervous and so painfully

shy, and brought me to the top of one of the Palawan Beach towers, giving me excuses to shift me from spot to spot, trying to find an isolated spot, but in vain. I remembered the National Day Parade Rehersal was going on and when we were on the tower, the RSAF Black Knights performed their stunts on the sky. When the Black Knights did the "Heart" routinue and drew a huge heart in the sky, Kelvin, who works in the RSAF, cheekily said "See, I got my colleagues to do that specially for you.." And a few minutes later, magically, really, like as if someone up there shoo-ed everybody away, suddenly EVERYONE left the towers!!! Everyone just started walking back down...and for that one moment, both the towers were empty. He couldn't believe it himself. And for that one PERFECT moment, it was just the two of us, standing in the tower ALONE, against the backdrop of the sea..and thats when he got his cue, plucked up his courage, took out the ring, knelt down and ask me to marry him :) Simple, sweet, romantic, magical.

It was during a holiday trip with her family (Dad, Mum, Sister n partner) to Korea (7 to 14 Nov 08). I prepared the proposal ring for her 2 weeks before the trip, but have not plan to propose to her in Korea. However, I brought the ring along just in case without her knowing of course.

It was on 11 Nov 08 when we went to Nami Island, we were told by our tour guide it's the Valentine's Day of Korea!!! The date was easy to remember, meaningful, the place and mood were right!!! I hesitated at first,

but decided to give it all out.

I took out my camera, switched to video mode, pass it to her sister's partner and told him, "No matter what happens later, do not stop till I say so". I prepared the ring in my hands hidden, picked up a full bunch of leaves from the ground and threw it into the air, knelt down, took out the 0.78 ring and proposed "Will you marry me?"!!! She was shocked, said I was crazy and did not believe it at first. Lots of laughter came after that, her family kept laughing, passer bys kept looking and smilling......But who cares, my sweetie agreed finalyl!

On 16th June 2007, OCS commissioning ball, we were all dressed up having a splendid time. Then came the moment, at approx 9:30pm, I was feeling all nervous and excited. I told my Queen, I was going to the toilet and had my buddy to follow me as I wanted to record the whole proposal. Went to the back stage, in my mind I was wondering if I should execute as planned, wondering if she would reject me in front of 300+ people. Well, I thought to myself, that she's the one I want to spend my life with. Within a split second, I went ahead as planned!!! With the video montage playing on

the background, I walked slowly towards my Queen, singing our song. Stood in front of her, talked a little on our journey on how we met and the times we spend together. Knelt down in front of her, and I popped the question: "Will you marry me PLEASE." She grabbed the mic, and said: Yes, I will!!! With the crowd cheering and giving us their support, we hugged and kissed and thanked the crowd. It was a really memorable and magical night for us. sun.
