Yeow Yong & Trina Lim Winners: Yeow Yong & Trina Lim

My Husband-To-Be surprised me by proposing to me when we were on a trip together with two other friends to Bangkok, Thailand. We have made a reservation at one of the Fine Dining restaurant at Bangkok called The Dome at State Tower. Everything looked normal on that day but didnt know that he has already made arrangement with the restaurant and his friends while in Singapore.

Reached there 30 mins late, the view of the restaurant was fantastic as it was 60 level

high up overlooking the Bangkok city view. Shortly after we were sat down, the singer on stage made an announcement saying that the following song is esp for Trina. But too bad I didnt listen properly and miss it. My HTB looked a little disappointed so was his friends. Then suddenly the staff came by with a big bouquet of roses, I was taken aback. HTB walked over and kneel down, show me the ring and asked "Will you marry me?" I accepted the ring although still feeling abit blur and shock :)

The date to remember was on on the 14 February 2009. My then-boyfriend (now fiancee) said he wanted to bring me and my Thai friends who were here in Singapore out for lunch at Takashimaya. We met at Somerset as he decided and walked our way over to Takashimaya.

Along the way, we met my cheerleader friends at the Civic Plaza. (I used to be a cheerleader back in my varsity days). We found out that the cheerleaders were here for a Levi's performance and they were then

rehearsing for the performance. They asked if we would like to stay on to watch their rehearsal, and we said yes. They started to do their routine as per normal, and I was not suspecting anything. At the end of the routine, the cheerlead team will sometimes roll down banners to shout out some messages. This happened for this routine. At first I thought it was any normal routine seeing that they were holding a banner. When the banner started rolling down, I saw that it was hand-made, and I began to think why did my ex-team mates did such a sub-standard performance of a hand-made banner.

Then the words began to roll out one by one. It read "Bibi, Will you marry me?" (Bibi is my nick given by my fiancee). I was shocked, and thought he was kidding. I turned around and his friend came over and passed him a bouquet. He handed the bouquet to me and got down on his knee with the ring in his hand. He gave a short speech, saying that I am first and only girlfriend and will be his first and only wife, and thank me for enduring his brattish-ness and childish-ness, and finally ending off with a "Will you marry me?" I was so touched that I cried and said yes on the spot.

My proposal was a whole day affair! He invited me out on a big date on the pretext of celebrating our anniversary and valentine's day. We started out bright and early with my favourite breakfast before heading out to the boating marina where he rented a boat to take me out on a spin on the waterways of Punggol and Changi. This has special signifiance to us as this was exactly what we did on our first Valentine's Day together.

After lunch, he made me close my eyes until

we reached the next destination, Rasa Sentosa Resort. When I walked in, there was our song playing in the background, potpurri on the sofa, my favourite flowers sitting in front of a gigantic card... needless to say, I was touched.

Come to dinner time, he took me to Jumbo Seafood Restaurant at National Stadium Waterfront. Again, he took careful consideration in chosing the place as this was the place where we first kissed. He asked me to go for a walk to the bridge and when I was looking away, he suddenly asked me if there were any stars in the sky, which I replied "no" and he replied "but I see 3 in a row" and held up a beautiful ring against the sky. He then went down on his knees to ask him to marry me.. I gave him a scare when I said "see first" but after 2 mins, replied yes and he slipped it on my finger.

After that, he mentioned that he proposed exactly at 8pm so that our proposal would have been 2nd Feb 2008 at 8pm. But thats not all.. when we went back to the hotel room, he prepared another present! A box filled with goodies..It had the ring cert, a proposal note that he promises to love and take care of me forever, brides & home and living magazines so that we can start our preparations and oven mitts/aprons for the both of us and he said the sweetest thing about them "I know you love to bake so I bought 2 mitts and aprons so that i can bake with you" I melted at his sweet words and romantic gestures. It may not be the most expensive or most romantic proposal but the thought of how he took the effort, time to think of how to propose... makes it perfect to me. I will never forget that special night when the love of my life asked me to grow old together with him.

During our anniversary celebration at Swissotel The Stamford, Equinox Restaurant, I requested for window seat during reservation and indeed the staff has provided me a nice view seat. A nice bouquet was presented to my then-girlfriend and she had not expected it. Before the serving of cake (complimentary from Equinox for special occasion), we exchanged present meant to be anniversary gift. She opened the Baby-G watch (she's been eyeing that particular model) box and found a diamond ring instead. Still feeling shock, all

she could do was asking me where is her watch. After some testing of my sincerity, she was moved and accepted my proposal.

Patrick Lee & Jasmine Chen Winners: Patrick Lee & Jasmine Chen

Patrick and I have been together for 7 years now. During Christmas last December, he brought me to Japan for holidays. He knew my dream since young is to go DisneyLand. At Tokyo DisneyLand, he brought me to Mickey Mouse's House. It was a super long queue to enter. Finally, we went in, there in front of Mickey Mouse as the witness of our love life, Patrick kneeled down on his knees and pulled out the diamond ring that he had saved up for the whole year. He asked "Will you marry me?" Mickey kept nodding his head to ask me to say Yes. I said, "Yes." Then all the other cartoon characters came

out to congrats us. The staffs tooked pictures of us. He proposed to me on 25 Dec 2008, Christmas Day, in Mickey Mouse House at the magical Tokyo DisneyLand. I was so touched that he had planned all the little details and that he had fulfilled my childhood dream on the proposal day.
