It was our 4th year aniversary together. Our rendezvour was at Sentosa's Siloso Beach Resort, the roof garden suite. He led me into the room and the scent of flowers engulged me. He actually decorated the room himself with flowers and candles! The ledge was sprinkled with rose petals. The stairs was lined with candles. On the four-poster bed was roses arranged in the words "Marry Me". He presented a bouquet of rose and Godiva chocolates. He led me to the foot of the end and asked me to Marry him. He knelt down and presented the ring that I've always

wanted - a Brilliant Rose. I was so touched and elated! Of course I agreed and we kissed sweetly...

I thought that it was the end of the special day... But he really overdid himself! He forbid me to go upstairs untill it was evening. As I followed the candle lit stairs, the most romantic sight visualized! There were sweet roses in the jacuzzi pool, my favourite! The candles at the roof top garden was arranged in a heart-shaped manner, with our initias in it. It was so sweet. We sipped wine and enjoyed the magnificient sight of the moon, sea, beaches and tropics. We drank wine and rejuvenated in the roses filled jaccuzi. We slept together in each other's arms till morning.

After a delicious breakfast at the patio, we basked in the sun on our roof top deck. We soaked ourselves in the jaccuzi and enjoyed the magnificent morning view atop our suite. It was the most memorable and romantic day of my life. Filled with tenderness, love, sincerity....

I'd decided to make the day that would mark the 7th year of Eveyln and I being together extra special by proposing to her. But even till the day before, I was lacking two important elements: the proposal ring and how I should go about carrying out the deed.

However, with my mind made up, I went shopping for the ring and nervously got through it before leaving the store with a congratulatory wish from the salesgirl. I came up with the idea of first surprising her with a poem since she did mention before

that I had never written one for her--before asking her to read the first letter of every line of the poem, which will spell out "Will You Marry Me." As for the location, I'd asked her before that if I were to propose, where would she like it to be--giving her the options of sky, land or sea. Since she had then chosen sky or land, I had in mind to fulfill the wish by making it somewhere in between, deciding to take her to City Space, on the 70th floor of Swissotel The Stamford, where we would be at one of the tallest possible location in Singapore, overlooking the entire Singapore skyline. So that was it, my plan was half formed, with the other half being the toughest: how to fit a poem into the structure I had enforced. I only managed to come up with two lines: "Wonders never cease to exist/In this world that you and I share". But from then on, I was stuck. And that night, it was basically all I came up with.

Morning came and I naturally panicked but I convinced myself that I would be able to come up with somethingl. By evening, all I had was one more line to complete and I managed to complete the poem just in time:

Wonders never cease to exist,
In this world that you and I share
Life is all worthwhile, when
Love between us is in the air
Your heart may beat as one, but
Our hearts beat stronger as two
Until the day they stop,
May we stick together like glue
Adding the two of us together,
Results in a love so special
Rhyme or reason don't matter, whenever
You are near
Miracles never cease to exist,
Everytime we both kiss.

With that, everything went as planned and on the 21st of April 2007, 7 years since we got together, on the 70th floor of Swissotel The Stamford, she agreed.

The day started like any other, nothing to indicated that anything magical was going to happen. As we were deciding the location for dinner, he insisted that we dine at this little Italian Restuarant at Clover Way (Sarpino's) saying that he missed the pizza at the place and really wanted to eat there. He also insisted that we drive to the location although it was within walking distance from my house. I later found out the reason for his insistance.

When we arrived at the restaurant, it was

completely empty (although not uncommon for a weekday evening as this was situated in the middle of a private estate). The only thing that made me a little suspicious that something was up his sleeve was that we were seated at the only table that had a table cloth and tealights on it near the counter. After we had finished dinner, Kian Lee excused himself to the bathroom and the staff at Sarpinos "revealed" a laptop and projector which had been earlier hidden under newspapers and magazine. When he returned, a video montage started to play on the wall across the room from our table. With love songs that I loved as the background, the video montage contained pictures of various periods of relationship as well as pictures of me and his feeling of the photos and what he felt at those moments. He brought his chair next to me and we held hands and relived those moments some of which had already slipped my mind. At the end of the montage, was the question, "Will you marry me?" At this point, he knelt down and present in a heart shaped box a beautiful ring and asked in person again, "Will you marry me?" I nodded my head and said, "Yes I will."

What made the ocassion more memorable was that he proposed 3 years to the day that we first met, a date that had slipped my mind but he remembered and even found "evidence" in photo that we had taken on that first meeting. Thank you my Knight in shining armour, Kam Kian Lee, for taking the effort to make this experience memorable for me. I am looking forward to completely life's journey and facing all life's challenges with you by my side. I love you.

It was going to be her birthday and I intended to make it a very special day for us. It was all ready with the ring and all the arrangement, awaiting for the day to come.

Firstly, I bought her to a massage session to make her feeling relax. After 60mins of massage, we went to SkyDining in the Cable Car. Its was actually prepared by the Jewel Box, which consist of 3-course dinner. Each meal took 1 round to be serve and coming to the last round which was the dessert. My girlfriend was presented with a bouquet of

flower. She was very happy with the arrangement but it was still unknown to her that I am proposing. While we are still enjoying the dessert and the beautiful night scenery from the cable car. I slowly took out the ring, without her noticing and place it underneath the table. I drop the napkin and asked her to pick it up for me, showing the ring to her. She was so surprise and bursted into tears. She knocked her head (Yes.)

I was in my room getting ready to sleep, as I was tired. He stays in my room and surf the Internet while I am on my bed and my eyes are closing. I am quite a sensitive person when comes to sleeping. If anything touches me, I will automatically wake up.

By then when I was sound asleep, he opens his engagement ring box to take a look at the diamond ring he bought. He slots the ring quietly into my fourth finger. Actually that time I was awaken by his small movements. I wanted to laugh out loudly but I was

controlling. When I felt I couldn't control anymore I open my eyes and stare at him. He stood up from his seat and lay on the bed beside me. He whispers to my ears " Will you marry me"? I replied " Hmm" means yes. A few minutes later, I asked him why no kneel down, why no flowers and romantic dinner. Kind of regretted saying yes so fast. But, in heart I am saying finally can marry le.
