hihi,

i am a Bridal Wardrobe bride!.. in fact just met with Ronn last thurs to discuss my wedding gown design and evening gown design... and take measurements... so exciting!

Ron has some pretty good ideas in terms of designing the gown.. and she will listen to you and respect your wishes... not pushy at all.. that is what i like...

in terms of her package i tink it's pretty reasonable considering she is considered those designer boutique and not those all-in-one bridal studios... and the photographer she uses, benny ang is good!... when i was hunting for my AD photographer and met up with one, i just asked him whether he knows who is Benny Ang and he says "yah!.. he is good.. like 'branded' goods.. hehehe"....

she does the make-up herself too right?... what package you are getting?..

Hey hey

Ronn is a very nice gal, she is really really nice and she is all out for her designs and ideas..as both of us are designers personally, I can't wait to see my gown in March..as for package price..its still reasonable...go for her. She is very adventurous.

As for Thomson, been there once to see see look look, immediately tried to push a package which turns me off...

But hey its still your call gal. Smile

Hi Coco,
I took up a package with Thomson Wedding D'sign. Truth be told, was not v confident cos had my sights on those like Irene's Creation, Silhouette etc. However, TWD has been highly recommended by a friend, so my bf and I went to check them out. We spoke with Michelle (the lady boss) and she gave us the same package as our friend.
Initially, I was worried abt their quality as I have v high expectations e.g gown styles, hairstyling skills of MUA etc.. Upon them agreeing to confirming in writing the specific items that I worry abt, I decided to try them out Stick out tongue

As I have some clear ideas abt the look of my WG (did alot of homework), I decided to take up the package of 1 MTM WG and can 'upgrade' to another MTM EG if I want.
Generally, if you are the type with clear specifications of gowns etc, I'll say go for them cos they are accomodating (even for someone so fussy like me) But must remember to state everything in black and white loh Big Smile

my package is also sth like that... MTM WG (rent) and MTM EG (keep).. but tink i wanna change the EG to rent lah..

i noticed u doing ur dinner at Grand Shanghai!!.. very nice place!!!!.. we actually wanted to have it there.. but not enough tables... we need 40 tables... GS only max 25 tables right.. Sad

so wasted loh... oh well.... but now we going to have it at sentosa!.. at sapphire hall instead... another ideal location.. hehehe Big Smile

Yup i made Ron twice, once with my friend and the 2nd time with my hubby. She's very nice and adventurous especially she specialises in mtm lace gown.

However, my hubby finds that her package is not as complete as thomson who is able to throw in (like any BridalShop) 2nd suit for the groom, and car..etc ( As my actual date is 6/11/05 and wedding dinner 8/11/05)..... Sad

And our buddy who just had her wedding last Dec commented if i were to go for Ron's then there other coordinations i have to worry abt unlike just getting the whole package deal from Bridal shop which takes care of everything under the roof.

Yup i do agree with you, I've being to Thomson and the sales person immediately pushes me a package and pretty flexible in negotiating the terms just to get me to sign on the dotted line which i didn't. Stick out tongue

I considered Thomson Wedding is becos of the designer Ishak, as he was a very nice guy and was recommended by my friend who has her wedding gown designed by him.

heehee me too has sights for silhouette based on the magazines shots that i've seen but have not really gone down to have a look due to our busy schedules.

By the way, who's ur designer and which branch did u sign up with as i understand Thomson wedding has 2 branches, 1 at thomson and latest at tanjong pagar. Embarrassed

Yes, I'd been to Silhouette and tried their gowns; was not given many to try tho. Generally, must say the overall ambience and gowns tailoring is good. perhaps, cos i'd alwaz thot the "bridal experience" must include pampering at the bridal studo, so have alwaz fantasize that I'll have mine made at the higher end boutiques..hehe..

Anyways, I'd signed up wif the Thomson Rd branch as that's where my friend took up their package. My designer *** coordinator is Cindy, who's v nice and friendly. Thus far, I went to try their new collection and spent approx 5+ hours there!! heheh, good thing Cindy was really patient and allowed me to 'model' my selected designs when my bfren joined me towards the end of the session Big Smile

What abt u? Have you shortlisted any? when is your AD?

yup totally agree abt her package, its still up to your own preference in the end..so if you feel that the other BS has a better dollar value...go ahead...as long as you like it..its cool..

i choose Ron cos she is easy to get along with, she understands me well cos basically we are both designers..( I am a graphic designer ) and she made me really comfortable.

But hey...the bottomline is Be happy and go ahead with the decision you make.. Yes

yup i like Ron and have talked to her twice, she's very easy going and I feel at ease with her.. Wink

Any gd suggestions on how to get the 2nd Groom's suit???

hi coco,

If u are getting the package from Ron, then u can actually use her men's suit tailor to get your 2nd groom's suit loh... tink the tailor she uses is pretty good... we will be doing our men's suit pretty soon too... Smile
