15-18 tables

any reccommendation for hotels that cater 15-18 tables?

I had try Goodwood Park but my wedding date is already taken ... Crying

Hi Myuki,

I am also looking for small banquet ballrooms so been sourcing around. U can look at Hotel Rendzvous (18 to 23 tables), Meritus mandarin (they mentioned they have rooms for min 15 tables).

I am planning to just take up min 15 tables first just in case. Thanks for the info, I am asking Hotel Rendzvous and Mandarin. Have you meet up with them? U see their decor and setup already? How is it?

Hi Myuki,

Think u can try Carlton Hotel too... Idea

My friend held her wedding there last yr with abt the same number of tables. Not too bad, except u may not be able to use the ballroom, but a smaller function room instead. However, good point is that u can have your cocktail reception by the poolside or "garden", which is outdoor. Great if there are smokers around. Wink

. I went to attend my friend's wedding at Carlton last yr but quite unhappy with their services, I notice their staffs are very young and inexperience. The serve staff that was assign to serve my table was a very young gal. She is very inexperience and didn't serve well.

my budget is not more than $700 net/table. mine is on a weekday and trying hard to find a hotel tat is accessible, so tat will be convenient for my guests.

Hi Wanli,

If I remember correctly, it should be $700+. Don't remember the exact price thou'. Anyway, I think most hotels would re-align their pricing slightly every yr, so may have to check it out again.

Just called Mandarin, for 15 tables will be using function room at 35th floor. It is undergoing some renovation till end of this month. Anyone attend any wedding in this function room before?

The function room at 35 floor is ungoing renovation? no wonder i didnt have the chance to see it last sat.

I like their other function rooms and ballrooms, have u ask Mandarin to show u fotos of that function room?

Hotel rendzvous i have seen their ballroom, it is long and u can have a long wedding march if u want, but there is also 2 pillars which may block some guests.

Carlton hotel i have went to my colleague wedding. There is quite a number of ugly pillars. The food is okay but i dun like the pillars.

I saw in other forum that ACT 1 ceiling is old, hope the function will look better after the renovation.

Have u check out Hilton hotel? They do accept 15 tables. I loved their wedding theme but my AD is already taken... sigh..

Hi myuki,

Okay i go check my mail box tonight when i reach home (can't access email at office). I have fotos of hotel rendezous and the sales manager name. This sat i be taking a look at their bridal suite.

From the pix on ACT 1 it looks really quite old. Not so sure after renovation how it will appear leh.. maybe have to ask them.

I know that Hilton also allows small banquet but we are looking for 18 to 20 tables. I also look at hilton with some other orchard hotels last sat, can't remember wat reasons why we are not considering. Let me ask my fiance if he remember Stick out tongue
