On Saturday 25 October, about 400 people and bridal vendors attended the Style:Weddings’ Glamour Bash 2008 at Singapore Marriott Hotel. This year, the bi-annual bridal event had an ultra luxe and elegant setting with lots of pretty blooms peppered throughout the venue.

Wedding Harmony’s band and singers Lorraine and Lizhang kicked off the event with a romance love songs. Later, hosts and newly-weds, DJ Daniel Ong and MediaCorp artiste Jamie Teo took over with their witty banter while Singapore Marriott Hotel gave a short welcome speech.

Later, guests feasted their eyes on a gorgeous selection of followed by a sizzlig hot Tango dance performance. The Style:Weddings Designer Showcase by Lee Hwa Jewellery and The Wedding Present married sparkling gems with romantic gowns while the second show featured a mix of feminine and modern dresses by French Studio & Bridal Boutique, White Weddings, Whitelink, Sattine Bridal Couture, Di Gio Bridal and La Belle Couture. There were also special appearances by MediaCorp celebrities Yvonne Lim, Jessica Tan and Justin Ang – all dressed in pretty gowns and stylish suits.

During the break, some couples headed for the high-tea buffet by Singapore Marriott Hotel while others checked out the hotel’s elegant table-settings and bridal booths for wedding products and services. And as some of the bridal vendors had their own rooms, couples were given more privacy during their consultations. Other activities also include a informative workshop by Wedding Master Singapore on the latest bridal photography techniques and wedding albums.
