The location: Avid divers, Lawrence and Jacelyn, wanted a wedding near the sea. They decided on Rasa Sentosa Resort Singapore for its gorgeous ballroom and location by the seaside.

The theme: The ballroom was decorated with pretty blooms and lavished with blue petals as a representation of the sea.

The bridal entourage:The six bridesmaids wore white tube dresses cinched with a maroon sash floral design. The groomsmen wore matching maroon ties.

Special highlights: “Lawrence had popped the question during our dive at Pulau Dayang,” says Jacelyn. To share the happy moment with friends, the couple set up a special corner to display all the props Lawrence used to propose. There was a huge banner, a bouquet of roses, a ‘treasure box’ used to hold the ring underwater and A4 size cards with the proposal message.

The wedding cake: It was a lovely three-tier Precious Moment theme wedding with ribbon and flower trims. “It was baked by Lawrence’s kindergarten school friend,” says Jacelyn.

Wedding favours: Guests took home seashell candles and mini glass bottles filled with blue sand and tiny seashells in it.

Honeymoon romance: The couple headed to Australia for an adventurous honeymoon! First stop was in Cairns where they had a chance to go diving at the Great Barrier Reef, white water rafting and hot air ballooning. Next, they went to Goldcoast and indulged in theme parks like Movie World and Dream World. Then, it was back to nature at Blue Mountains as they stayed in a Kuarrar Guests House – a Victorian-styled bed and breakfast cottage with an open chimney. “We also went hiking at the nature reserve in Blue Mountain,” adds Jacelyn. At Sydney, the couple spend time relaxing by shopping and eating. “But we also got to climb the Sydney Bridge,” says Jacelyn.
